You're Worthy!

Recently my son told me that in his After School program that he and another child were considered not VIP's. I asked my son does he know what the initials VIP represents and he said, (Very Important Person) and I said, that is correct. Now, I asked him, what makes another child a VIP and you're not? He couldn't give me a straight answer, and the answer that I gave was in the real world "No One." I also made it crystal clear that from the moment that the Ultra Sound gave a clear picture of this little dot growing inside of me - which that little dot was him.....He was and still is the VIP in my life and his families life. I told my son that never ever, ever take what some one else label you or says about you in a negative light....meaning never digest it internally because their word(s) have no meaning at all. Never let someone else define your worth.

I told my son that he is worthy of all God's grace, goodness and mercy. He is worthy of all things wonderful! I also told him to believe and say out loud that he is creatively and wonderfully made. I told him that he will always be my VIP!

To all my blog readers - Tell someone that you love that they are a VIP!
Words have the power to change things.....Let the words that come out of your mouth change the way someone feel about themselves for the good.

Marriage Is A Serious Thing!

I was thinking today about marriage and how serious marriage really is when two people decide to join hands in holy matrimony. I don't believe that many people take marriage serious enough.  Marriage is much more than choosing a thousand dollar gemstone or a one of a kind Vera Wang wedding gown. Its more than the ten thousand dollar reception where both partners or parents have saved their life savings just to watch other people for two to three hours dance, eat and drink the night away.

Marriage is not something that when you get tired of looking at one another - You can just pick up and just leave without the law of the land getting involved. Once you say
"I do" in that moment your marriage is bond by law and only law of some kind can only separate you. I'm not trying to scare anyone from marriage but just want you to know its really a serious matter.  Marriage is a total entity from dating. Marriage is no longer boyfriend and girlfriend - By eyes of law - You are husband and wife...That's a serious matter.

Marriage is a total communication work out. Communication, love and trust is what going to keep the marriage in tact. Respect plays a key role in a marriage. Respect can also play a big part infidelity; whereas it can stop someone from going astray because of the respect that the two partners have from one another.  Can a partner fall out of love in a marriage? Sure. It happens but "respect" will keep it civil.

Marriage is definitely a two way deal. Marriage is a 50/50 arrangement. Not one contributing 90% and the other 10%..Its simply not going to work. Both partners have to come to the table with something..Meaning some kind of ability that will compliment one hand to another. In order for it to really work both partners gotta want it! A good marriage is never a one side deal. Marriage is also an open book. There are no secrets in a good marriage.  If you are getting married..Just want you to know that its a serious matter.

If you have a question that you would love to get my take on..
Just email me or write a comment and I will be more than happy to give my feedback.

A Cleansing

As I sit here and think about the word change and how it relates to earth; I am also thinking about change when it comes to human life. There are many individuals who cannot accept change nor do they want to adapt to change. But we all know that nothing stays the same. As humans living on planet earth we should know that change is a way of life because we are living on a planet that changes every second of every moment. I don't think we "get it" that this is the way of life here on earth. As humans we are not exempt from change or else we cannot survive on an ever changing planet.  Change doesn't always come easy. Change doesn't always bring happiness because with change there is also hurt and pain. But out of change there is love and hope.

I think a lot about change as it relates to President Obama. He knows a lot about change all to well. He was conceived out of change. Born from an African father who was not a descendent of slaves. Born from a Caucasian mother who was American bred and whose forbidden love was not accepted in many American states because of bigotry and hate. His mom and dad living as an interracial couple in the sixties was a transformation. President Obama attending Harvard when only a few African American students were accepted or parents could afford was a transformation. The state of Iowa endorsing an African American to become the next President was a transformation. As I sit here drinking my half empty cup of coffee, I can't help but wander if it's not half empty but if it's half full. I believe that President Barack H. Obama winning the presidency wasn't luck that he won. It wasn't because of the state of Iowa nor young America or new technology.  President Obama won because of all the hatred, bigotry, greed, poverty, and wars between nations that are being fought around the world because it is time for earth to do a good cleansing once again. You see Earth can take care of itself - When its time to get a good cleansing, it already knows the Who, What, When and Where! When Earth knew it was time to get rid of the most wanted man on the planet...It was already pre-dedestined that no other prior President could do it because he had to be able to speak to all nations and be heard softly.  And because of this was able to bring down the most wanted man in the world!

Mother Earth has to cleanse itself again and it's not going to do it with a "Big Bang" in the universe....not with a great flood that will cover the earth and certainly not by an altered state of humans.  Mother Earth will cleanse itself with a "voice."  Think about it... A multi-cultural voice for a multi-cultural world that can transcend and transform a multi-cultural earth. One voice of HOPE because everyday the earth starts anew.

Sincerely,
