Have you ever loved someone so hard but no matter what you did and how you did it - He didn't stay. Have you ever had a forbidden fruit? You want it - You even convince yourself that you need it - But in the end it wasn't good for you....Have you ever had this kind of love? When I first heard this song, I was sitting in my family room just turning the cable channels and being the music lover that I am I heard this incredible voice coming from my television. I was mesmerized because for one - I love music and I am a fan of all music be it soul, classical, rap, jazz, gospel or country and saw this talented female with this amazing voice singing this song with just a guitar player. She put so much soul into this song and the lyrics and the way she sings this from the heart just brought me to tears - I knew she had gone down this road. This song title "Stay" by country duo group Sugarland is one of my favorites.
In order to sing this song like she does, you've had to travel down this road. Every woman in the world wants love and needs love. Every woman has a desire to love and be loved because we were born that way. Some not all have come across forbidden love. Forbidden love is the kind of love that you know you don't need. Forbidden love is the kind of love that goes with an unattainable man, but you want him and believe you need him like the air you breathe. Forbidden love is the kind of love that is good and bad at the same time. Its' so good that you have poured your heart and soul into it. It's so bad that you know it's wrong but you want it anyway. You fantasize about it and you have convince yourself that you are the better of the two. You have convince yourself to be the "other woman," something you said, you would never be.
"You wait for every text message, phone call or tweet. You are so wrapped up into your time with him that everything at that moment and that encounter is PERFECT for him. He says everything that you want to hear - Girlfriend, he's got it all because you have convinced yourself that he is everything you want in a man and I mean EVERYTHING! You are hooked on his every word. When he comes and spends his time with you...You don't want him to go...You give him everything - The desires of his heart.
Reason - He can't stay...Because the lies he tell you are just that - Lies! These are merely fantasy lies so that he can come and do it all over again. He's not going to leave his wife. She doesn't know anything about you and he would like to keep that way. The same clean sheets that you prepare for him..He also have very clean sheets prepared for him at home. The same love and affection that you are giving him don't think for a minute that he's not getting it at home too.
This isn't a new song but it hits home for a lot of women that has gone through this and that is going through the kind of love that this "Sugarland" song is about. But this is what I know for sure....If you wait on God to bring him to you - You will receive the desires of your heart.
